Are you interested in exploring interior design on a deeper level? The Post-Professional Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design (MFA2) is a two-year, terminal degree program that prepares students from across the globe to become leaders of the profession.
(60 credits, 2 years of full-time study)
There are four components to the program: a core design studio sequence, specialty studios, lectures/seminars, and electives. You’ll experience a diverse array of interdisciplinary design approaches and project types.
With students hailing everywhere from Argentina to China, NYSID’s diverse student body allows for an interesting exchange of ideas and fosters a respect for different cultures. (In fact, NYSID students come from 31 countries!)
You’ll learn from faculty members who are practicing designers at many of the top design firms in the country or principals of their own firms.
Located at 28th Street and Park Avenue South, NYSID’s LEED-Platinum certified Graduate Center, designed by Gensler, is home to 150+ graduate students who value camaraderie and collaboration.
At NYSID, our guiding principle is that the successful design of an interior space improves human welfare. Through our Post-Professional Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design (MFA2), you’ll learn how to create spaces that are beautiful, functional, healthy, safe, and built in a socially and environmentally conscientious way.
